Attend a Seasonal Favorite!

The Pumpkin Fair at Springhurst is a long-standing tradition in Dobbs Ferry. Join us for a day of fall festivities and fundraising as we celebrate all things pumpkin! Scroll on to learn more about the activities we have planned for the day, chili and pie contests and what kinds of tasty treats will be there for you and your family to enjoy.

Activities for the Day

  • Person decorating a pumpkin with googly eyes, a painted mouth, and an artificial flower on top, against a background of arts and crafts supplies and other pumpkins.

    Pumpkin Decorating

Decorate a pumpkin to take home and make your house more festive. You can make a regular one or a Teal Pumpkin.

  • A table at an outdoor event with a sign that reads 'ZOMBIE MASK' featuring a cartoon zombie face. The table has craft supplies and a small mirror, with people and stroller in the background.

    Arts & Crafts

There will be several different Arts & Crafts available to both children and adults - from Halloween necklaces to making a zombie mask to take home.

  • Children playing pumpkin bowling game outdoors on a grassy area with hay bales and a sign that reads 'Pumpkin Bowl'.

    Games

Try your hand at whatever games we want to advertise in this card. This is placeholder text until we know what games will be available.

  • Outdoor buffet with various baked dishes and chili, people serving food

    Chili Contest

You think you have the best chili recipe? Well, prove it! Make your best offering and bring it to the fair to be judged. And you might just win!

  • A woman smiling and waving at a bake sale table filled with assorted desserts, including cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and other baked goods.

    Bake Sale

Purchase all kinds of goodies provided by the generous volunteers of Dobbs Ferry. There will be everything from cookies to cupcakes.

  • A table with various homemade pies, some partially eaten, with serving utensils and paper plates, at a fall-themed gathering.

    Pie Contest

Bring us your legendary pie from a recipe handed down over generations or a new pie you created on your own that people love and submit to the pie contest.

  • Hanging skeleton and tattered fabric decorations in a dimly lit hallway

    Activities

We’ll have a bounce slide, haunted tree grove, the opportunity to get a balloon animal, and some dancing to Halloween music that day.

  • Two men stand behind a grill cooking hot dogs and buns outside under a canopy. One man is giving a thumbs up and wearing an apron, the other is wearing a jacket and gloves. There is a sign that says 'STOP NO Entrance' on a door behind them.

    Food

There will be plenty of food from local restaurants available as well as food grilled by our very own grill master volunteers.
