Diversity Committee

The Dobbs Ferry PTSA Diversity Committee serves as advocates and advisory board for parents and caregivers of Springhurst Elementary, Dobbs Ferry Middle School, and Dobbs Ferry High School.  Our mission is to promote community engagement, collaboration and inclusion in support of the Dobbs Ferry district's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) goals.

The DFPTSA Diversity Committee is a resource for the community, parents and administration of Dobbs Ferry.   We meet monthly to provide a safe space to discuss what's top of mind and work to help make our community more inclusive in partnership with the schools and administration.

Diversity Commttee Initiatives

  • Windows of Our World (WOW)

    This event sowcases all the different facets of what makes our community unique. We aim to have tables representing cultures, traditions, learning styles, identities and more.

  • Diversity Bulletin Board

    We have partnered with Dr. Brown and the Springhurst DEI Committee of teachers to provide education and awareness bulletin boards each month. Visit https://bit.ly/3xByySF to volunteer to help with a board!

  • Community Walks

    We hold walk school events throughout the school year. These include the Martin Luther Ktng, Jr. Walk in January and the AAPI Walk in May. View Westchester 12 News coverage of the 2023 MLK Walk.
